We encountered these in Baghdad. I'm sure there are some Army folks out there that "really" encountered them and can tell you how well they performed.
The trucks were brand new when they were modified. The camper shell roof is cut out. BMP firing ports are added to the camper shell sides. And no, there is no armor!
Mounted on the roof is a DShK mount along with a 4 barreled rocket launcher. For some reason there is plexiglass mounted over the rear tires. These trucks had every accessory imaginable! I saw them in white and red myself. I'd love to know more about them! |
