My name is David, and I'm an Airborne Combat Engineer in the USAF. All my life I've had an interest in Soviet armor and aviation,
and my travels have enabled me to pursue those interests.
I frequent various armor modeling forums where people have requested reference photos of subjects I've been fortunate
enough to shoot myself. I figured these photos would do the modeling community more good if they were available to everyone,
and that's why I've created this site.
All the photos on my site were taken by me. The locations I'll divulge if I'm able to. Any items I have a page created
for will at some point have photos added. For the moment I have "teasers" on most pages. In most cases I have at
least 50 photos to add, so getting them all scanned and loaded is going to take me a while, so please be patient.
I know my Soviet armor fairly well, but I still have problems telling the difference between a T-54 and a T-55 sometimes.
I may also screw up in labeling a BTR-60/70/80 photo from time to time. I'm also not going to add specific designations to
some photos due to the controversy it creates. I'll label it a T-72 and let the real experts decide if it's a Dolly Parton
or not!
Feel free to copy these photos for your own use. Send them to friends who may need them. All I ask is that they not end
up in a book somewhere without my permission. Also, this is a work in progress, so please forgive any disorganization you
may find. Enjoy!
